My Cleaning Man...

Ivy found some fry sauce and wiped it all over the counter and then all over herself so that Ike would lick her. She thought it was the funniest thing. I came into the kitchen toward the end of it and this is what I was able to capture.

Update to my fun weekend...

So, my last blog was not exactly full of happiness and laughter, so I apologise about that. It was quite the weekend. I forgot to add that Ivy also wrote all over (and I literally mean ALL OVER) the couches with a pen. She sure is fun. But, I think we are all on the downhill side of feeling better so hopefully here soon I can add cute fun pictures of all of us.

Mommy needs some quiet time...

Ok, so my girls are sick again, or still...not sure which, but it is taking its toll on me a little. It started two nights ago when the girls woke up a ton because they were coughing, running nose, bad dream...you know the drill. I think I slept a total of two hours. Then, Bella woke up the next morning coughing so hard she threw up. (Yes, I had to clean that up.) So, I got them a warm bath to help with their cough and Ivy decided to dump half the bath water onto the floor because she liked to watch Ike lick it up. (Yeah, that's not going to happen...had to clean that one up too.) Then, I went to let Ike out to go to the bathroom and saw that he had already pooped by the back door. (Me again cleaning up.) As I was cleaning that up, Ike went to the living room and peeded by the fireplace. Grrrrrr. So I went to clean up the pee by the fireplace and Ivy went into the bathroom and decided to pee on the bathroom floor instead of in the toilet. Double Grrrrr. I was up to my eyeballs in puke, pee, and poop yesterday. Oh my.
Last night was a lot of the same... Ivy wouldn't go to sleep and once she finally did, she would wake up coughing. Both her and Bella were up for about two hours last night coughing (mom coughing right along with them) and then up at 6:30 this morning. It was a lot more of the same today except a lot less peeing and pooping by the dog. Needless to say, I am ready for a little quiet time tonight.

Pink Eye or Red Eye

So... this isn't even close to being how bad Ivy's eyes got, but it might show you a little glimpse of it. Ivy got pink eye about a week and a half ago and we went to the doctors to get her some medicine. She ended up with an allergic reaction to it and it caused blisters on her eyes and she started running a bad fever. Then, Bella started getting pink eye and a cough. We went back to the doctors last Monday and got them both all set up with lots of medicine and TLC. Bella kept telling us that she had pink eye and Ivy had red eye. (Ivy's eyes were a lot "redder" than hers). Thank goodness all is well with them now. It was a very long week.

We Do NOT Give our Dogs Baths in the Toilet...

Yeah... That one pretty much sums it up, too. Tonight when we got home from an activity, I was changing my clothes and heard Ike barking a little and Ivy yelling "No" to Ike. I figured Ike was trying to steal one of Ivy's toys. He likes to do that. Nope, I was wrong. I go into the bathroom to find Ivy lifting Ike into the toilet either to help him get a drink or to get a bath. Who knows with Ivy. I thought I was on my toes just with Ivy... Now I have both of them to worry about getting into mischief. Everyone wish me luck.

Tuckered Out!

The girls had so much fun over at Grandma's today, that they couldn't keep their eyes open on the way home. It was a quiet ride, that's for sure!

Friends...

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and its only by this meeting that a new world is born"- Anais Nin

I read this quote today and thought that it was pretty fitting for my friends. I have one friend that introduced me to a fish story about perserverance and hard work and it opened a new world for me. Another friend tells it to me straight and she makes sure I stay on track. Another friend is a great example of love and kindness to everyone. Another friend is an EXCELLENT example of a good mother and I strive to be more like her. We all have friends out there that mean different things to us. I just want to thank all my friends out there for being in my life... still.
