Why I love being a Mom...

Yesterday, Bella did the most amazing thing... I was folding laundry in my bedroom and she came up to me and this is our conversation:

Bella: Mom, I need to talk to Jesus.

Sally: Ok, how do we talk to Jesus?

Bella: Ummm... I think with Heavenly Father

Sally: Thats right. We talk to Heavenly Father through Jesus and they can both hear us. How should we talk to them?

Bella: Ummm.... I think we need to say a prayer.

Sally: Yep, thats right. Why don't we kneel down and we can say it right now. You go ahead and say the prayer since you want to talk to Jesus.

Bella: Ok... Dear Heavenly Father. I love Jesus. I love my mommy. I love my sister. I love my daddy. Please bless him to come home. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Needless to say, I was in tears by the end of that short, sweet prayer. Nothing better than that.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so wonderful for us... We went to Logan, UT and stayed at Kyla and Paul's apartment and Grandma and Grandpa got a hotel with a pool... Yep, we had a blast!
Thanksgiving dinner was so good and we were able to play around in the apartment complex clubhouse. There was so much room for the girls to play and for the boys to lay out and watch football. (Naps also included) We did only a little shopping on Friday, but went to see the famous "Twlight" movie. I was a little disappointed, but overall it was good. It meant so much to spend the weekend with my family... especially Brad and the girls. I am so Thankful for them.

My Matching Girls

So... Bella and Ivy's Grandma sent them some money for their birthday and I told Bella she could pick out something for each of them or something to share... So, she chose Barbies for each of them and matching dresses. They look so cute! Thanks Grandma Sue!

Bella's Birthday!

Well.. our little Bella is growing up. She just turned 4. Can you believe it. We had a fun day. We went to the library, to dad's work, to McDonald's for lunch (of course), and to High School Musical 3- just Bella, mom and dad. (Mom and Dad enjoyed the movie more than Bella) Later we came back to the house and ate dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Haslam and then opened presents. She got awesome puzzles, dress ups, a Castle tent, a ballerina barbie (to go w/ her Ballerina dress ups) and a doctor kit. It was a great day!

Halloween....Yes, we were all Snow White

You guess it... We all had to play dress up. I actually was pretty excited about us all being Snow White. Brad was going to be the prince (of course) but instead he sat on his royal white throne at home... being sick all night. We had a fun trunk or treat at the church and Grandma Haslam joined us for the fun night.
Bella showed her true nature that night, though... She loved going from car to car getting candy and kept wanting to go to more and more cars. Then, she saw Grandma handing out candy and she thought that would be fun, too. So she took over handing out the candy and really enjoyed it. Then we left the church and drove home. We decided to go around to a few neighbor's homes to trick or treat. We went to three different houses and each time a neighbor answered the door, she said trick or treat, but then pulled out one of her candies to give to the neighbor instead of them giving to her. It touched me how thoughtful and giving she is. We are truly blessed to have her.

The Summer... Where has it gone?

So... We have been having a great time this summer. It started out with a WONDERFUL, but cold Memorial weekend. We went camping in our new camper with Brad's dad, his girlfriend -Lisa and Lisa's niece. We had a great time and got to ride 4 wheelers all around.

Next... We had the event we'd been waiting for for YEARS! Sally's sister, Kelli got married to the greatest guy in the world. (Next to Brad). Kelli and Ryan Norby were married in the Jordan River Temple on June 7th. What a great day! We also got to spend a lot of time with the Rollins Family and Sorensen Family during this fun time. We went swimming, rode 4 wheelers and shot our 22 rifles.

Later this summer... we got to go camping with Brad's brother and sister. Kayll and Kerri got to spend a little over a week with us. We did a bunch of fun things and even went out to the lake with Sally's parents. We all got up on water skiis and had a wonderful time.
